Kirschman Family Film at Cathedral Park

There is nothing dreamier than when the sun comes out in Portland, Oregon. The benefit to nearly year round rain is that even when it does finally get warm, everything is green and lush and beautiful!

I have had the distinct opportunity to know the Kirschman family for many years and not only are they beautiful, they are also just incredibly great people.

We got to squeak in a session while Zach was home from school and before he leaves for the Dominican Republic on his Church mission. So fun watching these amazing kids grow into amazing adults.

It was a beautiful day for a photo session at one of my favorite downtown locations. You really can’t go wrong with a session at Cathedral Park. The St. John’s bridge is absolutely stunning and the river, mountains, trees, and the seldom visible SUN was on point for this session.

Quick fun fact, Cathedral park was a fishing and camping location for many Indian tribes in the early 1800’s and the founder, James John, settled the site and operated a ferry across the Willamette River in the 1840’s. The bridge was built in 1931 and is the only suspension bridge in Portland.

It also happens to be one of the most beautiful bridges you will ever cross (in my humble opinion).

I am still editing the whole session, but wanted to get this film I created up on the blog in the meantime because it was just so much fun to make and I get way too excited about pictures and video set to music that I couldn’t wait one more minute to share it.

This song I licensed through Soundstripe, and is titled “Lost Together” by The Tide Rose.

Can’t wait to introduce you to the Kirschman’s:
